OneSpan Sign Developer: Field Types and Trust Center

Haris Haidary,

In this blog, I will go over what you might have missed in the eSignLive Developer Community during the week of May 28, 2018. Let us get straight to it.

FIELD TYPES

With OneSpan Sign, you have the ability to consume user input or place additional information on the document during the Signing Ceremony. These are achieved using Fields in OneSpan Sign. Like signatures, they can be placed anywhere in a document and each one is linked to a particular signature. Only the recipient of that signature can assign or change the field's value. Once the signature is signed, the value of the field cannot be changed by anyone. However, you can also add fields for which the recipient cannot change its value during signing. For example, you can add label fields. This is a read-only field with a value that will be simply stamped on the PDF. During the Signing Ceremony, the Label Field is displayed as non-editable text. Note that during the creation of the transaction, you will need to pass a value to the label field.

TRUST CENTER

From our Trust Center page, you can find live and historical uptime data (updated monthly and reported to 3 decimal places), information on how we safeguard your data and best security practices for your organization. The goal is to provide you with complete visibility into the quality and availability of our e-signature service. In addition, you can find deployment dates for new releases and any major scheduled maintenance.
