Combined technologies introduce new eBusiness applications

Montreal, Qc, June 1, 2000 - Silanis Technology Inc. announced today that it has joined the RSA Secured Partner Program and that its leading electronic signature approval software, ApproveIt 4.5, has been certified interoperable with RSA Keon PKI solutions. ApproveIt's interoperability promises to deliver new eBusiness applications for the almost half billion copies of RSA technology in use worldwide today.

The combination of RSA PKI with ApproveIt 4.5 will allow users to attach their electronic signatures to documents and forms as well as verify the authenticity of a message sender using digital certificates. As the industry's only out-of-the-box electronic signature solution to support multiple signature approval processes and digital certificates across a variety of applications, ApproveIt uses Intelligent SignatureTM technology to duplicate a legally binding pen and paper approval process in an electronic environment.

"As the most widely used technology to secure data transmission over the Internet, companies using or evaluating RSA Security's PKI solutions can now add even more compelling applications with ApproveIt," said Michael Laurie, Vice President of Business Development at Silanis. "Together, our two technologies will enable eBusinesses to securely complete all transactions with customers, suppliers and trading partners that require signed documents and data."

"We are pleased Silanis has joined the RSA Secured Partner Program and certified the interoperability of its electronic signature approval software, ApproveIt, and our RSA Keon PKI solutions," said Scott Schnell, Senior Vice President of Marketing at RSA Security. "Interoperability is the key to the successful adoption of public key infrastructure in the world of e-commerce."
