Montreal, QC, September 21, 2011 – Silanis Technology, the electronic signature provider for the US Army, Country Financial, BMW Financial Services and many other leading government, financial services, and insurance organizations, announced the release of e-Sign Desktop™ 7.0 (formerly known as ApproveIt Desktop) with support for Microsoft Word and Excel 2010.
The company’s flagship product is the most flexible electronic signature solution for internal business processes. The expanded support in version 7.0 will ensure organizations can benefit from the efficiency and security of e-signatures in the environment of their choice.
In addition to Microsoft Word and Excel 2010, e-Sign Desktop supports IBM Forms, MS InfoPath, and Adobe Acrobat. For a complete list of supported applications and environments, visit e-Sign Desktop Product Documentation.
Silanis also announced today that e-Sign Desktop 7.0 has received certification by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC).
This certification once again reinforces Silanis’ status as the de facto e-signature standard in the US Department of Defense and the Company’s continued commitment to its Army, Navy and Air Force customers.
Silanis has the most JITC certifications of any electronic signature solution provider. This latest brings its number of JITC certification awards to thirteen. Designed to work right out of the box, e-Sign Desktop 7.0 can be quickly integrated with an organization’s existing business processes and IT infrastructure to reduce paper-related costs and errors, compress cycle times, and increase staff productivity and responsiveness.
As a plug-in for commonly-used document and form applications,e-Sign Desktop requires a minimal learning curve. Signing icons appear within the application toolbar enabling users to intuitively ‘click’ to add their electronic signature. An image of each person’s handwritten signature is also secured within the document. This replicates the appearance of hand-signed documents, both on-screen and when printed. Advanced automation features also enable complex, signing processes involving multiple users and documents to be supported in an electronic application.
Silanis’ solutions have processed hundreds of millions of e-signatures since the company was founded in 1992 (50 million in 2010 alone), making it the most widely used e-signature solution. The world’s largest insurance and financial services companies, government agencies, and service providers depend on Silanis to accelerate business transactions and reduce costs while improving compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The company’s on-premise, cloud and SaaS e-signature solutions eliminate manual, paper-based processing to enable e-commerce and e-government transactions to be executed fully electronically from start to finish.
