Auto-Owners Insurance Empowers Agent Community, Integrates eSignLive Cloud E-Signatures

Insurer chooses to integrate e-signatures to enable faster quote-to-issue and facilitate ease of doing business for agents and their clients
(MONTREAL) – February 13, 2015 – e-SignLive™ by Silanis, a leading e-signature choice for business, today announced that Auto-Owners Insurance, a leading property and casualty (P&C) insurer in the U.S., will be offering the e-SignLive™ cloud e-signature signing service to support its independent agents. The company will soon begin to offer e-signatures through its agency portal for various insurance documents including P&C new business applications for personal and commercial automobile. Auto-Owners had heard from its nearly 39,000-strong independent agent community that the need for e-signatures was great, as agents were looking for a way to complete business electronically and offer a better customer experience for their clients. The introduction of e-signature capability will reduce time to close business while assisting with compliance requirements. “Agents live in the same communities as their clients, and they are looking for ways to improve the process without losing the face-to-face interaction and relationship building,” said Tommy Petrogiannis, CEO and co-founder of Silanis Technology. “Using e-signatures, agents can offer customers the speed and convenience of completing the insurance policy electronically in one session, while maintaining the role of trusted advisor.” Other factors contributing to Auto-Owners decision to add e-signatures included:
